Read My Lips: A Complete Guide to the Vagina and Vulva - Debby Herbenick & Vanessa Schick

Many, if not most, people remain in the dark about the actual workings of the vagina and vulva. The primary purpose of Read My Lips is to educate women and men about the vulva and vagina in a manner that is smart, informative, and entertaining. Readers, both women and men alike, will come to think differently about women's genitals and become a little more curious and a lot more comfortable with them. They will learn more about the female body in terms of health, sex, pleasure, culture, and art. Though based on sound scientific and medical research, Read My Lips is accessible to the masses, so women and men who are curious about the clitoris, Brazilian waxing, labiaplasty, or whether the G-spot really exists, will find something of interest in these pages. - Amazon

Read My Lips is a book that every women should have on their bookshelf. The book cover is very inviting, creative, and beautiful. It shows the readers that the vagina is a lovely creation and it should be treated with the utmost respect.

What I loved about this book is the authors ability to give it's readers some vital information mixed with some humor. Some people tend to get uptight when it's time to discuss SEX, but we all know it's a part of LIFE. I can't think of one person that ever told me SEX was horrible as a whole. They may have had bad sexual experiences, but there's plenty enjoyment in SEX.

As women we need to be more comfortable in our skin. After reading this selection, I took a mirror and became familiar with my vulva. Not to say I wasn't somewhat familiar with it, but it was nice to learn and identify the parts of my vagina... especially using the medical terms. I know there will be some people reading this with their mouth open, but all I can tell you is to close your mouth.. and READ YOUR LIPS.

I wonder if given a test... how many women not in the medical field can identify all parts of their vagina. I also advice Men to buy this book. Men need to become more familiar with the Vagina... it's just not a place to enter.

The Authors also included diagrams, activities, and do and don'ts of the Vagina/Vulva.. For example: I learned there are dangers involved when you blow air in the vagina during oral sex.... you will have to read the book to find out why..

Playback: Light and Shadow (Short Story) - Elizabeth Massie

In this terrifying original novella, Bram Stoker Award–winning author Elizabeth Massie provides a chilling prequel to the forthcoming horror movie  Playback, starring Christian Slater, Alessandra Torresani, and Toby Hemingway, in which a group of high-school students accidentally awakens an evil that possesses its victims through video.

But the dark curse dates back to turn-of-the-century New York, and begins with a grudge surrounding the birth of film itself. While fooling around with the movie camera invented by his murdered grandfather, a rich young playboy is overcome with bloodlust—and sets out to kill one of history’s most beloved figures.

In Playback: Light and Shadow, heads snap and cameras roll, giving a whole new meaning to the term “slasher film.” - (Amazon)

Elizabeth Massie's short story will definitely have the readers anticipating the release of the movie Playback starring Christian Slater. The writing style of this author is very descriptive and terrifying.. I wish this short story was longer (no pun intended)..  You will never be able to look at a video camera the same way after reading this short story.

Plan B (A Short Story) - Joseph Finder

I have been suffering from B.A.R. (Book Addict's Rut), and that only occurs when I encounter a bad book that knocks me off track.... mentally and physically.. (Yes! it's that serious.. Remember I'm a BOOK ADDICT)

Usually the cure is to find an exciting replacement book to get those juices flowing again...

I decided to take advantage of the free short story offered by Audible.com. I have to say I was very impressed how this author was able to bring this story alive with vivid descriptions of characters and their surroundings.

I know this was a short story, but I felt cheated at the end. Just when things started getting juicy - the story ended. Mr. Joseph Finder has a new book named BURIED SECRETS that came out in June of this year. I was hoping it was a continuation of this story, but unfortunately it's not.. Insert sad face here _________________.

The main character, Nick Heller seems like a man that knows what it takes to get the job done as a private eye/spy. I can't wait to read one of Joseph Finder's full novels and get the complete story of our hero, Nick Heller.

The only reason I gave it a 3.5 stars ... the story wasn't complete - short story or not.. I felt as though I planned an extravagant wedding and got left at the altar...

Side Note: If this author intended to entice new readers with this free short story.. Mission Accomplished!!

Joseph introduced Nick Heller — a “private spy” who finds out things powerful people want to keep hidden — in the New York Times bestselling novel VANISHED.

Now, in BURIED SECRETS, Nick Heller returns, finding himself in the middle of a life-or-death situation that’s both high-profile and intensely personal.

Nick has returned to his old home town of Boston to set up his own shop. There he’s urgently summoned by an old family friend. Hedge fund titan Marshall Marcus desperately needs Nick’s help. His teenaged daughter, Alexandra, has just been kidnapped. Her abduction was clearly a sophisticated, professional job, done with extraordinary precision, leaving no trace evidence.

Alexandra, whom Nick has known since she was an infant, is now buried alive, held prisoner in an underground crypt, a camera trained on her, her suffering streaming live over the internet for all to see. She’s been left with a limited supply of food and water and, if her father doesn’t meet the demands of her shadowy kidnappers, she’ll die. And as Nick begins to probe, he discovers that his old friend Marshall Marcus seems to have been running a Ponzi scheme. His fund has collapsed, the FBI has arrested him, and now he’s become the most hated man in America. He has a lot of powerful enemies who may have the motivation to go after his daughter. But to find out who’s holding Alexandra Marcus hostage, Nick has to find out why.

And once he does, he uncovers an astonishing conspiracy that reaches up to the highest levels of government. If he’s going to find Alexandra, he has to flush out and confront some of the most deadly opponents ever...

The Shattered Glass Effect - Creative Anthologists

The Shattered Glass Effect contains ten short stories that shows the effects that HIV/AIDS can have on anyone. As we know no one is immune to this disease, but yet we seem to turn a blind eye thinking it can never happen to us.
This book will open the reader eyes to the fact that HIV/AIDS affects us all in some way. A few characters we are introduced to is:
Infinity, a porn star that concentrates more on the 12-inch superstar in pants than being concerned with anything or anybody else around him.
Cynthia & Dana are sisters who have more in common than they know.
Kerri who realizes her first time having sex could be her last time.
Each author does an excellent job telling an effective story that stays with the readers for years to come. In 1996, my friend died from HIV at the age of 26. Anyone of us can be at risk for HIV - No one is IMMUNE!!
I highly recommend everyone to buy this book.
