What would you do if you came home after a long day of work
and heard sexual noises coming from your bedroom? What if you do if you bump
into your long lost love the same day?
In this heart-wrenching novella, Infidelity, Author Moses
Miller gives his readers a peek into the lives of Shanell & Bryce.Shanell & Bryce are both dealing with
their own version of the truth in their marriage, and soon finds out –
EVERYTHING IS NOT WHAT IT APPEARS TO BE.
Moses Miller does an excellent job of creating unforgettable
characters and believable scenarios. After
reading this book, it took a few minutes to collect my thoughts. What I got
from this novella is… No matter what LIFE throws at you at any given second, it’s
up to you to make the appropriate decision. Make sure that decision is
something you can live with for the rest of your life.
Vera is at her wits’ end when it comes to her husband’s
adulterous ways, so one day she snaps and kills him & his lover. Riddled
with guilt, confusion, and anger – Vera decides to end her life by jumping off
one of tallest bridges in New Orleans.
Brian W. Smith has immeasurable talent when it comes to the
Literary World. This story had my head spinning when I was done. I definitely
didn’t see this ending coming. I have said this so many times, but I will stick
with it – If you haven’t read a Brian W. Smith book you are missing out. He NEVER disappoints when it comes to a good
story.
One of the most anticipated e-book collections to hit the
literary world is here… Three the Hard Way – featured short stories from The
Kings of Literature – Moses Miller, Rickey Teems II, and Brian W. Smith.
He may not come when you want him to... but HE’S right on
time!!!
Unshakeable Faith tells the story of Faith Jones, a young
lady that has experienced so many disappointments in her life, from witnessing
her mother’s death, losing her aunt, and looking for love in all the wrong
places. When Faith is locked up for a crime, she is given two choices – Stay in
jail or attend church services.
When Faith agrees to attend Fellowship Christian Center she
gets more than what she bargained for. Will Faith be able to face her past so
she can embrace her future? Has Pastor Thompson taken on more than he can
handle by offering this young lady a place of solace?
I titled this review – HE may not come when you want him to,
but HE’S right on time – because I had a hard time sleeping last night, the
irritations of the day robbed me of my peaceful sleep. I turned on my pc and
the cover of Unshakeable Faith was staring at me.
This story was what I needed to read. Rickey Teems II has a
way of ministering to his readers without being overbearing and preachy. I love Teem’s epigrammatic style of writing,
which highlights the mastery of his craft. I highly recommend you read this
novella, along with other Rickey Teem’s titles.
After overhearing her mom’s conversation, Maria learns the
man who raised her is not her biological father. Met with some resistance from
her mom, she sets out to find out the truth.
Night Sky is based on a true story of the author’s so you
can definitely feel the emotions as you turned the pages. I’m not a big fan of
certain books going back and forth in time, but the author’s writing style keeps
the story flowing. Since the book dealt with war history, I appreciated the fact the author did an exceptional job with her research. After reading this book, I’m very curious to find out some
of my family history.
The Night Sky tells a story of courage, determination, and
unwavering faith. I would definitely
recommend this book.

Finally…. The long-awaited sequel to Brian W. Smith’s
best-selling novel, Nina’s Got A Secret has arrived. Now that Nina’s secrets
have been exposed, she is now experiencing a little taste of karma.Nina is not ready to give up the good life,
Larry has provided for her and her daughter, Precious. Nina makes a decision to try to become a
better wife to Larry, even if it means dealing with his sexual inadequacies.
Larry thinks he is holding all of the leverage in the
marriage, until he receives a note from a long lost enemy. Larry along with his
overbearing sister, Barbara is determined to keep the skeletons in the closet
by any means necessary.
Brian W. Smith gives his readers a special treat by
introducing Lawana (from Deadbeat) as Nina’s cousin.Anyone familiar with the character of Lawana
knows she doesn’t bite her tongue for anyone. Including the character of Lawana
gave Nina a chance to get a lot of things off her chest. Also, it gave the
readers a chance to really know what was in Nina’s head at the time of the
accident.
If you haven’t read Nina’s Got A Secret, don’t panic… You
can still read this book. I loved the fact that Mr. Smith didn’t write flashback
scenes, the conversations between the characters give the readers enough to be
able to play catch-up & follow the new storyline.
The reason Brian W. Smith is one of my favorite authors
because he has the ability to write a story I can relate to. I find myself
laughing out loud while reading his books, screaming, or even crying, because I
have experienced the subject/incident he is writing about. As a reader of all genres, that’s one of the
main deciding factors that I measure a great writer on, the ability to connect
with me.
If you haven’t read a Brian W. Smith book… You are truly
missing out!!!

The Author
Lynda D. Brown lives in St. Louis MO. She has one married son and a beautiful grandson. This is her second book, her first book, Once I Was Lost, was released in April of 2006, and she immediately began working on Invisible Enemies, which took four years to complete. Lynda has been researching Spiritual Warfare for the last six years, and in these last days, she wants to make sure that God’s people do not perish due to lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4:6)
As an avid science fiction fan and a lover of all things supernatural, author Lynda D. Brown’s supernatural thriller series, Invisible Enemies is creating quite a buzz in the independent publishing field. Book one, Invisible Enemies was published in 2010 and became an immediate hit in the authors local library, and when book two, Seed of Satan: Leah’s Story, Book Two of the Invisible Enemies Series, arrived in January 2012, all copies were immediately checked out by fans that eagerly waited over a year for the sequel.
So this is the sequel to Two Tears in a Bucket. Man was I into this book. The story takes you from a continuation of what seemed to be a tragic ending in the first book. Kevin had to be the hero in this book and fight for his wife and family because again Felicia thinks that wrecking havoc will yield her the results she craves. She really lays on the drama, even killed a couple of people because in her mind, Kevin is hers. I was really into it while I read this book during my recent travels on the plane. I got yelled at by the flight attendant to turn off my kindle since we were about to land. I wanted to fight her.
But moving on. Kevin did some time for something that could have been avoided in the first place, is at first clueless of Felicia’s antics. He does put two and two together. She even dragged another person, Sanora, into her drama and it doesn’t end quite so nicely for at all. But through it all, he stands by his wife Simone. I’ve learned form this book that you never really know what a person is capable of until it unfolds, and sometimes we really have evaluate our so called “friendships.” Sometimes we think someone is our bestie, and she/he is as crazy as they come.
The ending does leave room for a Triquel. So I cannot wait.
Overall, both books were page turners. I will admit I saw a few grammatical errors in Another Tear as well, but they were sparse, and I could appreciate that the book was well written. I also give Another Tear 4 stars.
Ms. Bee was supposed to have another book out called A Nickel for a Kiss since December of last year, but she was working on Another Tear. So when she does finally publish ANFAK, I will most certainly purchase it.
So when I started this book, I was actually taken from the beginning. It starts off as your typical urban tale: a young girl with a broken family who lives with her Mama and her Mama's lustful boyfriend. But there was a twist. The main character, Simone, actually fights back and leaves her mother’s house. Her mother did some underhanded things to Simone in this book. She was young and naïve. But luckily her father was there to keep her grounded and she overcame. This is another example of parents not standing up for their children and choosing ignorance. Her mom chose her sleazy man over her daughter.
So the book continues and it tells of how Simone and her love, Kevin, met. Now I love me a good urban fiction book. Wahida Clark is my absolute favorite author when it comes to loving a thug from the streets. However, Traci Bee gives you a little street but goes deeper into the elements that can destroy trust and a relationship , and doesn’t focus on the streets as much as most urban fiction books. Now this is a couple that is trying to make it honestly, but you have a crazy “Pilar” like character, Felicia, who really thinks Kevin will concede to her delusional self. The man saves Felicia from tragedy after she begged him to, and boom she immediately gets attached and infatuated with the thought that this man is going to be hers.
I felt for Kevin. Because of his decisions he ended up facing some serious consequences and figured out what true friendship and trust were.
What I could appreciate is while reading this book, there were no major grammatical errors. I cannot stand when I am reading, what could be a decent book, and I get disturbed by errors that could have been caught by proofing. I also appreciate the story line, and structure of the book. The story builds and everything makes sense. I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. This author has gained a new fan.
Back to You was a difficult read for me. Author Bates
should have expanded the plot a little more or gave us more history on the
characters in the beginning of the story instead of figuring out things too far
into the story.
Although I enjoyed Lynsey’s character, it was difficult
to follow where we were headed throughout the story. I knew why Lynsey returned to her hometown,
but it was like everyone she met had an attraction to her. Every time she met someone it was like here we
go again.
The story had a lot of characters who essentially all
worked for the police department in some capacity. I had trouble keeping up with the characters
and had to frequently go back and figure out who I was reading about. I found Back to You to be a little boring. Although I was excited and interested in the
beginning, I was quickly confused and disappointed at the end.

After a
take-in gone wrong, bounty hunter Angel Crawford is persuaded by her boss,
Tiger, to take a paid vacation. What Tiger doesn't plan on is Angel becoming
involved in a murder mystery surrounding the secretive world of moon shining.
The closer she seems to get to an answer, the more complicated things become.
Closets packed with skeletons are jarred open and decade old secrets begin to
spill out, until it appears that no one is safe from being taken out to protect
the business, even if they are family.
The
concept of this book was great. The twists and surprises, and the astonishing
connections between characters really kept me guessing. The connection from
scene to scene didn't flow very well though and I sometimes found myself
wondering if I had missed something. Also, the characters didn't have much
depth and I didn't feel that I knew Angel or any of the supporting characters,
any better at the end of the book than I did in the beginning.
There were a few grammatical errors and several paragraphs that were repeated in the beginning of the book. That
being said, the book was a sequel and I did not read the first in the series,
which could have been a factor in making me feel a little lost. Taking that
into consideration, I would rate the book a "3".
